It seems as though survival games based around overcoming zombie hordes and outrunning stalking monstrous foes are a dime a dozen, and while we’re certainly still enjoying those experiences, The Long Dark’s more grounded approach to the genre is a breath of fresh, cool air.
The current build of the immersive first person survival set in the cold Canadian wilderness is already so polished, we can’t wait to see what the appropriately named Hinterland Studio throws at us in future updates.
