Resident Evil: Revelations 2 revives the one-liner

”What in the COCK did I just see?” That is, in case you’re wondering, your new favourite line of gaming dialogue. Since 1996, Resident Evil has been the king of cheesy speech with the likes of, “Stop! [loading pause] Don’t. Open. That. Door,” and, “Jill, here’s a lockpick. It might come in handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.” But 20 years after the original, the series’ newest outing Resident Evil Revelations 2 is aiming to recapture the lost art of one-liners.

REV ALL ABOUT IT
Or will it? Our poultry line comes courtesy of Barry Burton’s daughter Moira, a teenager with a seriously foul ( fowl?) mouth. When she and Claire Redfield are first attached by the zombie like Afflicted, Moira drops the c-bomb.

At least, she does in our early preview code. But it might not make the final game: we’ve been warned that Capcom’s R&D team might change the line to something less fruity, despite other blue lines such as the delightful corker that is, “Where in a moist barrel of f***s are we?”  staying as is.
THE INFAMOUS LINE COMES FROM BARRY’S FOUL MOUTHED DAUGHTER.
So consider this a plea from OPM to Capcom to preserve history and #saveourcocks. Join us on Twitter to help fight the good fight and keep Resi’s dialogue as cheesy as can be.

BRACE YOURSELF
Our new hands on demo did more than reveal hilarious swears, however. In a new area we also discover that the bracelets Claire and Moira wear aren’t virus indicators but fear detectors.
Green = calm; red = scared.
It seems more a narrative device than a gameplay mechanic.
